Hello, My name is Catherine and I am a designer and maker of all things Knit2Felt.
I began my love of textiles back in 1993 at college in Chesterfield, from there I went on to Manchester Metropolitan University to study Textile Design. I was a teacher of Art and Design for 16 years teaching secondary school students in all aspects of art and design. Living in the High Peak is a fantastic place for inspiration surrounded by wildlife and lots of much loved family pets.
I started knitting about 5 years ago and this soon developed in to my passion to create my own designs based on the animals I love. In 2017 Knit2Felt was launched and I still visit schools regularly to deliver workshops and teach children of all ages in the arts surrounding wool and textiles. I try to capture the character of each individual and put this in to the easy to follow instructions.
I hope you enjoy looking around my site. If you need any help please feel free to get in touch and I will get back to you.
Here you will find information about events and workshops coming up.
If you are based in the North West of the UK and think a Knit2Felt Workshop would be of interest to your knit and natter group, WI, Girl Guides group, crafting group or school please get in touch.
